This is the journal of Branch, fandom butterfly, fic-writer, acafan, meta-ist. I generally hang out in the anime fandoms, though I pass through book, TV and movie fandoms every now and then. Some visitors may know me as _branch_, from LiveJournal. This site, both archive and journal, are where I have moved my public fandom activity since Six Apart has shown themselves to be the spineless corporate scum they are. Entries are crossposted to my InsaneJournal, branchandroot, for readership and backup.
This journal is open to the public; anyone can read and comment. To comment, however, readers must either provide name and email or an OpenID login, if you have an account with a site that supports OpenID.

Most of the point of this is to provide an email to receive comment replies at, since this site threads comment discussions and all comment replies are emailed to the recipient. If you use OpenID and your provider does not pass on email (as, for instance, LJ didn’t used to) you will be prompted to enter one the first time you comment. Email addresses are never made public; it will live a sheltered, indoor-only life in your profile, which only you and I can access.
